At the state level, The Washington Department of Corrections (WDOC) provides access to public information about currently incarceratedincacerated individuals on its Incarcerated Search database. To look up inmates on the database, enter the offender’s DOC number or name and click the search tab.
Also, the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) provides an inmate search tool that allows users to access information about federal inmates. Searches can be done by using the name or BOP register number of offenders

Snohomish County Arrest Records Vs. Criminal Records
Snohomish County arrest records and criminal records are distinct from each other. For instance, arrest records do not prove the arrestee is guilty of an offense. Also, these records do not contain information related to the prosecution/conviction of arrestees. On the other hand, criminal records in Snohomish County encompass the past and present convictions of the record owner. Criminal records are important for conducting background checks for employment or housing purposes.
How Long Do Arrests Stay on Your Record?
In Snohomish County, arrests will remain on the arrestee’s record until the individual is 120 years old. However, arrest records can be made confidential or deleted from criminal records.
Expunge Snohomish County Arrest Records
In Snohomish County, individuals must determine their eligibility to expunge their arrest records before requesting the deletion of such documents or information.
Per Section 10.97.060 of the Revised Code of Washington, arrest information in criminal history records can be deleted from the database of state law enforcement agencies upon request by the owner if:
- The record encompasses only non-conviction information and:
- Two years or more have passed since the record became non-conviction data due to a court disposition
- Three years have passed since the arrest for an offense, but the individual was not conviction (except for cases still under prosecution or if the individual is a fugitive)
However, non-conviction records may not be expunged if the individual has a prior felony or gross misdemeanor conviction or has been apprehended or charged during the waiting period.

Requesters should note that the expungement process may not delete arrest records in the custody of local law enforcement agencies in Snohomish County. To expunge records in the custody of the local arresting agencies, contact the sheriff’s office and inquire about the procedure.
Snohomish County Arrest Warrants
Snohomish County arrest warrants are legal documents used by peace officers to apprehend individuals they suspect of committing crimes.
